There have been multiple versions of coffee advisor programs over the year, so we cannot compare this program versus your previous program. This program is about demoing coffee in Sur La Table, Williams Sonoma, Macy’s, and Bloomingdales. For details on hours and shifts, please see below.
There will be 4-7 shifts monthly occurring on Saturdays and Sundays with possible additional Friday shifts during peak times. Hours may range from 4-7 hours per shift. All roles are part time.
There are no full-time coffee advisor positions at this time.
Part-time employees receive personal time off and can also participate in ActionLink’s 401k program, which includes a company match. There are also special product discounts from our partners, ranging from cell phone plan discounts to special promotions on appliances and cars.
Compensation ranges based on experience and competency as assessed during the interview process and previous performance (if you were a former Nespresso Coffee Advisor or are already an ActionLink employee).
Pay starts at $23 per hour plus bonus for coffee advisors.
Pay starts at $30 per hour for coach and trainer roles.
Nespresso Coffee Advisors spend nearly all of their working time in a locally assigned retail store. There will also be e-learnings, digital tools and other business rhythms such as conference calls which can be accessed from anywhere, including your house, as long as there is an internet connection.
Most Coffee Advisors will cover one location for this program. Positions will be posted by location, and you may apply for any store location that is available.
This is a Nespresso program, and as such, all products will be under the Nespresso banner. Coffee Advisors will represent Delonghi and Breville Nespresso coffee machines and Nespresso coffee capsules.
There is a friends and family discount for Nespresso coffee machines.
Coffee Advisors will be given all the tools required to execute the job requirements. This includes an iPad (limited in function to job needs), some parts of the uniform (apron, etc.), coffee materials (napkins, cups, etc.) and coffee capsules.
Coffee Advisors will receive an apron and name badge.
All Coffee Advisors will report to the program manager and receive in-store coaching and support from more local trainers or coaches.
Shifts will range from 4 to 7 or more hours depending on retailer and seasonality. You will learn your hours during the offer process.
There are bonus programs included in the program that range in value between $60 and $250 per quarter (3 months), depending on employment status and role.
